On the 7th of October 2016, Jim Paxton who is part of our transport team received the National Medal for Service Award after 20 years of service volunteering for the SES, CFA and the Army Reserve. We are very proud of Jim and his work towards our local communities.
The National Medal is an Australian award given for long service by operational members of specified eligible organisations. To qualify a person must have served an eligible organisation for at least 15 years in the primary function, and the chief officer of the organisation must assess their service as “diligent”.
The National Medal recognises those who put themselves at risk in the service of the community, or in the course of enforcing the law to protect persons and property. The regulations governing the award use the term “primary function” to describe this concept.
Jim has sacrificed time and energy from his personal life over the last 20 years and fully deserves this acknowledgement from our local communities. Well done Jim from the Impact Steel team – we are very proud of you and what you stand for.
Adapting Is The New Reality.
Australian businesses need to find innovative ways to adapt, process and manufacture more product, lower their costs, meet tough lead times and capture whatever demand there is. The Steel Efficiency Review® combined with our insights gives you the measurable savings and competitive edge your business needs to survive and thrive.
The Steel Efficiency Review® involves a study of our customers’ businesses and steel processing flow. It allows us to get closer to our customers, using a methodology based on the seven areas of waste: over production, time in waiting, transport, processing, inventory, motion and rework.
We aim to work with our customers to better understand how to eradicate waste in both our businesses in order to capture real value. Our SER® Consultants simply offer recommendations based on their findings to further improve and lower costs. Within two weeks a short report will be provided, detailing these findings, recommendations and cost-savings / revenue generating solutions.
We’ve gained priceless insights across all major sectors from Manufacturing, Transport & Automotive, Building & Construction and Mining, Oil & Gas. The Steel Efficiency Review® combined with our insights gives you the competitive edge your business needs to survive and thrive.
