About Aluminium

Aluminium is another corrosion resistant metal type. It is one the most diversely utilised metals worldwide. Like stainless steel, it maintains its protective coating via passivation, and has an extremely low-density level – about 65% less dense than steel.

Aluminium is a softer, yet still comparably durable metal. Although its surface texture can determine its colour, it is generally silver or grey in appearance. Aluminium is generally alloyed and usually only used in pure form when the application requires a better degree of corrosion resistance, rather than strength.

Aluminium Sheet, Coil and Plate

At Impact Steel, all Aluminium products are manufactured to commercial grades – 5005 H34, 5052 H32, 5083 and H116/H321 – Sheet & Tread Plate.

Alternate grades can be made available upon request.

Our sheet and coil Aluminium is produced at three standard widths:

• 900mm
• 1220mm and;
• 1500mm

Available in a Thickness Range of 0.60mm – 10mm.

All Aluminium products meet Australian Standards.
