We have one of the most optional and controlled slitting lines in the industry, assuring you can depend on us for the best result.
Simply put: The ‘slitting machine’, it is often referred to as the slitting line made up of three basic stages – Uncoil, slit, then recoil.
Slitting is when a steel coil is fed through the machine or slitting line, cutting it into narrower strips. These strips can are rewound into smaller rolls for efficient storage and transportation purposes.
It is able to cut the steel sheet into strands of nominated thicknesses. It will process small to medium scaled material with 100% precision.
At Impact Steel, regularly scheduled services and maintenance checks are professionally undertaken, as we take precision and quality very seriously, as well as safety. It is important to know that at times, coil and sheet slitting is not the easiest production line to manage. Some suppliers may find their sheet results in poor edge quality, edge wave, inaccurate slitting widths and other roll markings. 100% of the process from start to finish has to be controlled.
Fortunately at Impact Steel you won’t have to worry about these errors happening to any of your orders to be processed. Our processing team are experts at what they do, with over 25 years of accumulated experience between them!
Blades can be dynamically reconfigured to suit a range of thicknesses, types and tolerances. Specifically, the following:
The minimum and maximum gauge capabilities range from 0.45mm – 4.00mm for Carbon, and 0.45mm – 3.00mm for Stainless.
It will serve a coil width of up to 1530mm and a weight up to 11.5 tonnes. The coil’s diameter must not exceed 1500mm.
The sheet or coil steel must have a minimum side trimming of 10mm.
Capable of slitting any type of ferrous or non-ferrous metals.
We can processes sheet that is at least 400mm in length, up to a maximum of 6000mm.
Maximum mass of 6.00 tonne.
Maximum width of 550mm.
It has equal Recoiler and Uncoiler diameter limits of 508mm.
Segments for:
Recoiler – 610.00mm
Uncoiler – 760.00mm
Our slitter will cut a sheet or coil thickness range of 0.40mm to 4.00mm.
From a 0.50mm thickness, it is capable of slitting up 4.00mm using 0.50mm increments.
It processes a minimum width of 25.4mm for carbon steel and 22.4mm for stainless.
It slits the sheet considering class b tolerance specifications. Class can be adjusted upon request.
Depending on the type of the steel, the number of strands corresponding with its thickness varies from 7 to 23 for carbon, and 7 to 19 strands for stainless sheet and coil.
Our slitting line is of world-class operating capabilities. We ensure quality slitting technique of both carbon and stainless steel sheeting.
Designed to control the steel coil width, the cutting accuracy of our equipment for sheet and coil rolls is second to none with the ability to execute all slitting work with minimal wastage.
In addition to a broad range of stranding capabilities, our equipment produces cutting accuracy that ranks second to none in Australia. The cylindrical, razor-sharp ‘ribs’ can slit up to 23 strands per sheet and is specifically designed for error-free adjustment. It is also very economical and cost-effective to both the supplier and end user.
Our slitting equipment features an extensive and complex control panel, providing our expert processing team full control and accessibility of all functions. This ensures the highest quality, accuracy and defect-free product.
Reliability within our processing operations is of paramount importance to us and our clients. We strive to maintain our mission’s values of reliability, repeatability and flexibility when it comes to all operational activity.
