What Does The PEC Applicator Do?
The polyethylene coating machine applies a protective film to the sheet. This coating has exceptional benefits, enhancing the protection of the surface.
The adhesion results in either a clear or black presentation. The clear film appears white in colour. All coatings provide relatively good water, heat and low temperature resistance.
What Specifically Is It Capable Of?
Our PEC applicator is capable applying coating to a sheet thickness range of 0.50mm – 3.00mm.
Five standard widths are used, including: 900mm, 915mm, 1200mm, 1220mm and 1500mm.
Application thickness and appearance:
PEC 80 micron – white with black backing.
PEC 50 micron – clear.

Our polyethylene coating reinforces the steel sheet by providing it with an increased impact strength and level of ductility. It is strengthened in terms of impact toughness rather than physical rigidness. The coating enables the steel to be exposed to, and absorb force from certain applications. Structures that are layered in polyethylene are more resistant to corrosion. Humid and outdoor environments are ideal for PE coated steel whereas other materials are likely to fail. On that note, the sun’s UV rays will not ‘break down’ or compromise the steel’s integrity in any way either. Articles applied in these sorts of environments will have no problem sustaining an ultra-long life span.
